SEK Education Group is launching the second season of Aprendiendo a Ser Padres, the video podcast created to support families in their children’s education and provide them with practical tools, expert guidance and support during a stage full of questions, decisions and shared learning.
Once again hosted by journalist Esther Vaquero, the video podcast maintains its format of close, accessible conversations with experts to address, from a rigorous and practical perspective, some of the most common questions families have during the early years of their children’s lives.
Following the positive reception of its first season, the project returns with new episodes focused especially on the 0-to-6 age range, a key stage in children’s cognitive, emotional, social and physical development. Through conversations with specialists from different fields, Aprendiendo a Ser Padres will address some of the issues that most concern families today, including screen use, free play, autonomy, rest, nutrition, language development, tantrums, boundaries, guilt and the emotional climate at home.
The second season premieres on Friday, 5 June, with a new episode released every Friday on Spotify, iVoox and YouTube.
With this initiative, SEK Education Group reinforces its commitment to families as an essential part of the educational community. In a context in which mothers and fathers receive increasing amounts of information, advice and often contradictory messages about parenting and education, Aprendiendo a Ser Padres was created to offer a rigorous, approachable and calm perspective, guided by leading experts.
The new season places particular emphasis on the importance of Early Childhood Education, a decisive stage for laying the foundations of learning, emotional security, curiosity, autonomy and children’s relationship with their environment. From this perspective, the episodes will explore how to stimulate children without overwhelming them, the value of free play, pressure around developmental milestones, children’s relationship with food, language stimulation, the influence of the family climate, the impact of screens on attention, the importance of rest, guilt in parenting, and how to manage tantrums and boundaries without damaging the bond.
Topics in this second season include: Are we overstimulating our children?, The power of free play, Is my child falling behind? Autonomy, rhythms and parental pressure, Eating without battles: keys to a healthy relationship with food, How to stimulate language development, How does the family climate influence our children?, Do screens affect attention and concentration?, The importance of rest, The trap of perfect parenting: how to let go of guilt as parents, and Tantrums, boundaries and love: educating without breaking the bond.
The video podcast features experts from SEK Education Group and invited professionals, who will provide practical recommendations and key insights to help families better understand their children’s needs, respect their rhythms, support their wellbeing and consciously accompany their development.
Aprendiendo a Ser Padres is part of SEK Education Group’s vocation to build community with families and create spaces for shared learning. The initiative seeks to strengthen the alliance between family and school, based on the belief that education is a shared task and that mothers, fathers, teachers and experts must move forward together to provide children with the best possible environment in which to grow.
