SEK-Atlántico signs a voluntary agreement with the Complejo Hospitalario de Pontevedra hospital

A representation of students from SEK-Atlántico, accompanied by their CAS coordinator and school Principal, visited the Provincial Hospital of Pontevedra to attend a brief act of commemoration for International Volunteer Day, on 15 December. The Red Cross, the AECC, and the Faculty of Fine Arts also participated in the event.

At the end of the event, a collaboration agreement between SEK-Atlántico and the CHOP (Complexo Hospitalario de Pontevedra) was signed. According to this agreement, volunteer students from the International Baccalaureate Diploma programme will go to the children’s hospital to accompany the children admitted and collaborate with the hospital’s School Attention Service.

The agreement was signed by José Ramón Gómez, manager of the Pontevedra and O Salnés Health Area, on behalf of the Consellería de Sanidade, and by Jacobo Olmedo, Principal of SEK-Atlántico.
